Bio: Dr. Claude Swanson was educated as a physicist at MIT and Princeton University. During those years he worked at the MIT Science Teaching Center, Brookhaven National Laboratory and a Virginia cyclotron in the summer. At Princeton he received the National Science Foundation Fellowship and Putnam Fellowship. His Ph.D. thesis at Princeton was done in the “Gravity Group,” which focuses on experimental cosmology and astronomy, and was headed by Dr. Robert Dicke. His thesis advisor was Prof. David Wilkinson, after whom the WMAT satellite is named.
For the last twenty years, interspersed with his conventional professional career , Dr. Swanson has pursued investigations into “unconventional physics.” This includes new phenomena not presently understood in Western physics, such as ESP, psychokinesis (PK), the out of body experience (OBE), Remote Viewing, long distance energy healing, and Qi Gong (chee gong). The elements of this emerging new science may help us better understand UFOs and their technology. Dr. Swanson has written two books, The Synchronized Universe: New Science of the Paranormal, and Life Force: The Scientific Basis.
Lecture: What the Science of the Torsion Field Can Teach Us About UFOs
Ufology has always faced one great difficulty. It studies and reports on objects that do not seem to obey the laws of physics. For example, the great physicist Richard Feynman once said in a Youtube video that he did not believe in UFOs because they levitate, and that goes counter to Einstein’s theory of gravity. Unknown to Feynman, a new force was discovered in the 1950’s in Russia called “torsion,” and a research program was carried out over several decades which confirmed that it is a real force and it needs to be included in modern physics. It can explain many of the puzzles facing modern science, including the levitation of UFOs, paranormal phenomena and faster than light travel. Dr. Swanson’s book Life Force-The Scientific Basis describes some of the evidence for this force. In his talk he will describe how it behaves and how it explains many of the previously puzzling phenomena surrounding UFOs. In brief, they are not magic, but they are part of a new science.
