UFO Congress Attendees Get a Sneak Peak at Race To Witch Mountain
It was very exciting for the IUFOC attendees to get a chance to view Race to Witch Mountain, the Disney Movie before it hit theaters. On February 27, 2009 over 200 people stayed awake until midnight and ventured across the street from the Aquarius Resort (where the ufo convention was located) to preview the movie at the Horizon Stadium 9 Cinemas. The theater was packed and everyone was excited to see this movie so many people in the UFO Field took part in helping to create. Several people had their footage of UFOs shown in the beginning, and each time their footage was shown you would hear a section of the auditorium break out in cheers and clapping.
One of the speakers for this year’s conference, Dr. Roger Leir was listed in the film as a speaker along with the main character, Dr. Alex Friedman.
This is not the normal activity for the UFO Congress Convention but since Nicole Irvine worked with set designers on UFO Expo Hall she was able to convince Disney, with the help of Barclay Communications to allow her group to view the movie before it’s national release scheduled for March 13, 2009.
“We are so grateful to Disney and Barclay Communications for helping to make this showing happen. I have never seen such a excited group of people at the movies at midnight.” says Irvine.
What a great year for the IUFOC this year!
Well another year over – but what a great year this was for Congress! More visitors, new faces, great networking and some stunning new evidence shown!
As the UK Director of the event, I was extremely happy to see quite a few Brits making the trip this year despite the poor exchange rate and the general state of the economy. However next year, we aim to have a full package tour from Europe and the UK which will take in a UFO sky-watch, a trip to the Little Al’e'Inn, Sedona, The Grand Canyon and of course Congress itself. Details will appear soon!

Biography
Lynne D. Kitei, M.D. is an internationally-acclaimed physician and health
educator, a leader in early disease detection and prevention. Dr. Lynne received her BS in Secondary Science Education from Temple University and an M.D. from the Temple University School of Medicine. Her post graduate studies were completed at the Medical College of Pennsylvania. She was Chief Clinical Consultant of the Imaging/Prevention/Wellness Center at the world-renowned Arizona Heart Institute in Phoenix, Arizona until coming forward with the “Phoenix Lights” project in March 2004.

Born in Asheville, North Carolina, Joshua P. Warren has lived in the Blue Ridge Mountains his entire life. At the age of 13, he wrote his first published book. Since then, he has had eight more books published, including the regional best-seller, Haunted Asheville, and How to Hunt Ghosts (released by Simon and Schuster), and is the president of his multimedia productions company, Shadowbox Enterprises, LLC. His articles have been published internationally, and he has been covered by such mainstream media as CNN, Fox News, Southern Living, Delta Sky, FATE, New Woman, The New York Times, FHM and Something About the Author; and made the cover of the science journal, Electric Space Craft. He reviews the four major reasons leaders in the scientific and journalistic communities have not yet jumped on the pro-UFO bandwagon. He covers landing trace cases and the star map seen by Betty Hill on board a flying saucer and the scientific investigation of it by Marjorie Fish. He discusses the Roswell, New Mexico, crashed saucer recovery of July, 1947, as the first civilian investigator to dig into that story, as well as the controversial Majestic 12 documents, some few of which he has shown are genuine. He shows nuclear rocket engines on which he worked and a number of legitimate UFO photographs which have been scientifically validated. Biography
Nuclear Physicist-Lecturer Stanton T. Friedman grew up in Linden, NJ, spent 2 years at Rutgers University, and then received his BSc. and MSc. Degrees in physics from the University of Chicago in 1955 and 1956. He was employed for 14 years as a nuclear physicist by such companies as GE,GM, Westinghouse, TRW Systems, Aerojet General Nucleonics, and McDonnell-Douglas working in such highly advanced, classified, eventually cancelled programs as nuclear aircraft, fission and fusion rockets, and various compact nuclear power-plants for space and terrestrial applications.
He became interested in UFOs in 1958 and since 1967 has lectured about them at more than 600 colleges and 100 professional groups in 50 U.S. states, 9 Canadian provinces and 16 other countries in addition to various consulting efforts.. He has published more than 80 UFO papers and has appeared on hundreds of radio and TV programs including on Larry King in 2007 and twice in 2008. He is the original civilian investigator of the Roswell Incident and co-authored “Crash at Corona: The Definitive Study of the Roswell Incident”. TOP SECRET/MAJIC his controversial book about the Majestic 12 group, established in 1947 to deal with alien technology, was published in 1996 and went through 6 printings. A new edition was published in 2005. Stan was presented with a Lifetime UFO Achievement Award in Leeds, England, in 2002, by UFO Magazine of the UK. He is co-author with Kathleen Marden (Betty Hill’s Niece) of a book in the summer of 2007: “Captured! The Betty and Barney Hill UFO Experience”. The City of Fredericton declared August 27,2007, Stanton Friedman Day. His new book “Flying Saucers and Science” was published in June 2008 and is in its 3rd printing.
He has provided written testimony to Congressional Hearings, appeared twice at the UN, and been a pioneer in many aspects of ufology including Roswell, Majestic 12, The Betty Hill-Marjorie Fish star map work, analysis of the Delphos, Kansas, physical trace case, crashed saucers, flying saucer technology, and challenges to the S.E.T.I. Biography
Dr. Michael Salla is an internationally recognized scholar in international politics, conflict resolution and U.S. foreign policy. He has held academic appointments in the School of International Service & the Center for Global Peace, American University, Washington DC (1996-2004); the Department of Political Science, Australian National University, Canberra, Australia (1994-96); and the Elliott School of International Affairs, George Washington University, Washington D.C., (2002). He has a Ph.D in Government from the University of Queensland, Australia. During his academic career he was author/editor of four books including The Hero’s Journey Toward a Second American Century (Greenwood Press, 2001); Essays on Peace (Central Queensland University Press, 1995); Why the Cold War Ended (Greenwood Press, 1995); Islamic Radicalism, Muslim Nations and the West (1993) . He has conducted research and fieldwork in ethnic conflicts involving East Timor, Kosovo, Macedonia, and Sri Lanka. He has been awarded significant financial grants from the United States Institute of Peace and the Ford Foundation for peacemaking initiatives involving mid to high level participants from the East Timor conflict.
Dr. Salla is more popularly known as a pioneer in the development of ‘Exopolitics’, the scholarly study of the main actors, institutions and political processes associated with extraterrestrial life. His groundbreaking Exopolitics: Political Implications of the Extraterrestrial Presence (Dandelion Books, 2004) presented the first scholarly framework for understanding the political implications of an undisclosed extraterrestrial presence. He has two forthcoming books in 2009 that reveal his most recent exopolitics research and its relationship with international politics: Exposing U.S. Government Policies on Extraterrestrial Life, and Galactic Diplomacy. Alan Foster is a writer, researcher and lecturer on the subject of UFO’, Crop Formations, Environmental and Spiritual Issues. His career encompasses over fourteen years in the Airline Industry. He managed an airline travel operation providing commercial transport for the U.S. Military in the U.K., and then for the Mediterranean U.S. Naval Forces, where he was based at the Fleet H.Q. Naval base in Naples, Italy. Following that he became a Station Controller for a major International Airline.
For business, travelling and research he has been to over eighty countries worldwide. He has studied spiritual development, meditation & metaphysics.
