Bio: David M. Jacobs, Ph.D. is a retired professor of history at Temple University in Philadelphia. He became interested in UFO research in 1965. In 1973, he completed his doctoral dissertation on the controversy over unidentified flying objects in America. At Temple from 1977 to 2011 he taught the country’s only regular curriculum university course on UFOs and abductions: “UFOs and American Society.” Since the early 1980s, he has specialized in the UFO abduction phenomenon and investigated over 1,150 abductions with 150 individuals. He has published five books on UFOs and abductions, including his latest, Walking Among Us. Since 1972,he has written and delivered hundreds of articles, papers, and addresses, including radio, television, and internet interviews on the subject nationally and internationally.

Lecture: Understanding the Abduction Phenomenon

The abduction phenomenon is a program with a distinct, unified, goal. The program is carried out by specific aliens who have created a workforce to help them achieve that goal. Everyone in the abduction workforce, including unwilling abductees, have functions to perform for the ultimate success of the program. Using new information, this talk will redefine abductions, coalesce disparate elements of it, and logically progress to a deeper understanding of how and why aliens are now living among us.
