Breaking Update: 2011 Date Change
The February 2011 International UFO Congress is moving dates! The conference is moving from February 16-21st, 2011 to February 23-27th, 2011. This was done in order to accommodate some very special things we have in store for the 20th Anniversary. This date change was not taken lightly and we hope that this does not interfere with anyone’s travel plans.

UFO Convention Film Festival Schedule for EBE Awards Set
All entries are in and the schedule is set for the 19th Annual International UFO Congress Convention and Film Festival. Tickets will be $6 US a night and are available at the convention door at the Aquarius Resort in Laughlin, Nevada. The film festival will run from Saturday, February 20 until Friday, February 26, 2010. The winner of this year’s festival will be announced at the annual EBE Awards banquet on Saturday February 27th, 2010 from 7:00 PM to Midnight. This year’s EBE Awards will hosted by Bob Brown and Paul Davids.

2010 Convention Speaker Spotlight: Travis Walton
Travis Walton will be speaking at this year’s conference, held in Laughlin, Nevada, on Friday, February 26, from 8:30 – 10:00AM. His presentation is titled: Fire in the Sky 34 Years later
The discussion will update his recounting of the November 5, 1975 incident with the addition of subsequent developments and insights. A short introductory video will begin the presentation, which includes maps, photos and artistic renderings. His talk will end with taking questions from the audience.
Travis Walton is the subject of the Paramount Studios movie, Fire in the Sky, based on his book of the same name. On November 5, 1975 he was a 22 year-old member of a seven-man logging crew cutting trees in the forested mountain region of Arizona. On the way home from work, the crew encountered a strange glowing object, resulting in an incident that has become recognized as the best documented case of alien abduction ever recorded. Mr. Walton speaks to audiences and media around the world to share what it has been like living through the ordeal of the experience and its aftermath. He presents the evidence for the incident and takes wide ranging questions from the audience, which usually results in bringing out new perspectives and bits of information previously overlooked.

Prices Go Up for UFO Convention and Film Festival on January 18, 2010
After January 18, 2010, the early bird registration reduced rates will end. Prices will go up for all package rates by 8% starting on January 19. In order to get the reduced rates, payment must be received by January 18 at midnight.
The International UFO Congress Convention and Film Festival will be a special one this year as it is the last one being produced by the founders, the Brown family. Bob Brown will retire after this year’s conference and Open Mind Productions will continue it in his legacy. As many of you know, this organization has been a part of our family for the past 19 years. And in return, Teri, myself, and all 3 of my daughters, have become very close with the volunteers and the attendees, and you all have become our extended family. Every year, we’ve worked very hard to bring you the best conference that we could possibly deliver, and looked forward to spending the week with you. It is with a saddened heart, that I must admit, that the time has finally come for me to retire. The Brown family is very torn about this, and feels a great connection to Teri through this wonderful week and everyone involved, but it is time to hand the reins over. UFO Congress Attendees Get a Sneak Peak at Race To Witch Mountain
It was very exciting for the IUFOC attendees to get a chance to view Race to Witch Mountain, the Disney Movie before it hit theaters. On February 27, 2009 over 200 people stayed awake until midnight and ventured across the street from the Aquarius Resort (where the ufo convention was located) to preview the movie at the Horizon Stadium 9 Cinemas. The theater was packed and everyone was excited to see this movie so many people in the UFO Field took part in helping to create. Several people had their footage of UFOs shown in the beginning, and each time their footage was shown you would hear a section of the auditorium break out in cheers and clapping.
One of the speakers for this year’s conference, Dr. Roger Leir was listed in the film as a speaker along with the main character, Dr. Alex Friedman.
This is not the normal activity for the UFO Congress Convention but since Nicole Irvine worked with set designers on UFO Expo Hall she was able to convince Disney, with the help of Barclay Communications to allow her group to view the movie before it’s national release scheduled for March 13, 2009.
“We are so grateful to Disney and Barclay Communications for helping to make this showing happen. I have never seen such a excited group of people at the movies at midnight.” says Irvine.

Biography
Lynne D. Kitei, M.D. is an internationally-acclaimed physician and health
educator, a leader in early disease detection and prevention. Dr. Lynne received her BS in Secondary Science Education from Temple University and an M.D. from the Temple University School of Medicine. Her post graduate studies were completed at the Medical College of Pennsylvania.
