Have you been catching Project Blue Book on the History Channel? It is about the U.S. Air Force’s real investigations into UFO encounters. The lead character is based on Dr. J. Allen Hyenk who was a scientific consultant for the real Project Blue Book. When he began helping the Air Force in 1948, he thought the idea of UFOs was ridiculous, but by the end of Project Blue Book in 1969, he believed the UFO phenomenon was a real mystery!
The show covers real cases, but it does veer from reality into fiction. However, it is still a fun show and History has posted a lot of great stories about the real cases on their Project Blue Book website.
